AN ORDINANCE to make provision for raising a loan of fifty million rupees for expenditure on emergency purposes.

[Date of Commencement: 18th February , 1942]

1. Short title.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Home Defence Loan Ordinance.

2. Definition of "emergency purpose”.

In this Ordinance, "emergency purpose” means any purpose connected with or incidental to the emergency arising out of any war in which His Majesty may be engaged.
